Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), in partnership with the Moffat Charitable Trust, is inviting aspiring and current students to apply for the prestigious Moffat Scholarship 2025, a long-standing support program offering financial aid and recognition to students with a zeal for the global travel and tourism sector.
What is the Moffat Scholarship?
For over two decades, the Moffat Charitable Trust has empowered Travel, Tourism, and Events students at GCU with over £1 million in scholarship funding. The scholarship awards are made based on academic merit, financial need, and a clear commitment to a career in tourism.
Scholarship Benefits
- Undergraduate Students: Up to £3,700, paid in two instalments over the academic year
- Postgraduate Students (Master’s and PhD): Up to £2,600, paid in three instalments over the academic year
Additionally, recipients are invited to scholarship-related events and will be spotlighted in university communications (with consent).
Eligible Programs
Students applying to or already enrolled in the following GCU programs are eligible:
- BA (Hons) International Tourism and Events Management
- MSc International Tourism and Events Management
- PhD programs related to Travel, Tourism, or Events.
Who Can Apply?
You are eligible if you:
- Apply for admission to get conditional offer
- Have a conditional or unconditional offer to study a Travel, Tourism, or Events program at GCU
- OR are a current student in one of these programs at GCU
- All nationalities may apply, with preference given to Scottish students.
