The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) continues to uplift aspiring postgraduate students through the AIT Alumni Scholarship Fund, a financial support initiative specifically designed for Master’s degree applicants facing economic constraints. This opportunity aims to reduce the tuition burden and encourage academic excellence across AIT’s renowned faculties.

What Does the AIT Alumni Scholarship Offer?

The AIT Alumni Scholarship Fund provides a partial tuition fee waiver for selected Master’s students, covering 2 to 6 academic credits. These scholarships are made possible through generous contributions from AIT’s global alumni network and are distributed across all three schools:

  • School of Engineering & Technology (SET)
  • School of Environment, Resources & Development (SERD)
  • School of Management (SOM).

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the AIT Alumni Scholarship, applicants must be of any nationality and must apply for a Master’s degree program within the School of Engineering & Technology (SET) at AIT. Candidates are required to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 from their previous academic qualifications.

Additionally, applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency by securing a score of at least 6.0 in the IELTS-Academic test or achieving a 6.0 in the AIT English Entry Test (EET). All applicants must also meet the general admissions entry requirements set by AIT to qualify for the scholarship.


Programs Offered

This scholarship applies to any Master’s degree program under the School of Engineering & Technology (SET). Areas of study within SET include but are not limited to:

  • Civil and Infrastructure Engineering
  • Information and Communication Technologies
  • Industrial Systems Engineering
  • Mechatronics, Microelectronics, and more.

Application Deadline

The last date to apply for the AIT Alumni Scholarship Fund for the August 2025 intake is 30 June 2025. Applicants must ensure that their AIT admission application and supporting documents are submitted before this date to be considered for the scholarship.
